Late last week, Motorola started rolling out a new software update for the Moto 360 that brought with it Bluetooth improvements and bug-fixes. However, it looks like Motorola also managed to fix another deal-breaking issue of the Moto 360 with this update — its poor battery life.

If reports from this Reddit thread is to be believed, the battery life of the Moto 360 seems to have doubled itself after the update. This is pretty surprising since the official change-log from Motorola does not list any improvements to battery life itself. It definitely cannot be placebo as well since hundreds of Moto 360 owners have reported a drastic increase in their battery life post the update.

Most users are reporting a drastic decrease in the standby battery drain of the smartwatch as the reason behind the improved battery life. Before the update, the Moto 360 used to lose around 4-5% charge per hour, but with the latest update, this has gone down by a significant margin.

Moto 360 owners, thoughts on the update? Have you noticed any improvements in battery life?
