An anonymous commenter has posted a picture of the About Screen of the upcoming Motorola-made Nexus shamu in a comment made on Droid-Life.
The picture shows shamu running a build of Android L with the 3.10 kernel carrying a build date of August 30th. The image does not really show off the handset from the front, but the size of the screen visible in the picture does match up to the 5.9-inches of leaks and rumor we have previously seen and heard.
At this point, the 5.9-inch shamu is as real as things can get. What, however, remains unknown is whether it will be accompanied by another moderately sized Nexus handset or not.
The Motorola shamu is expected to come with a 5.9-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM and a 13MP sensor. Design wise, even though a Nexus, the phablet will have a design that will be very similar to the new Moto X.
