Samsung today announced that its latest and greatest phablet — the Galaxy Note 4 — will go on sale in the United States on October 17th with pre-orders for the device beginning from tomorrow (i.e. September 19th).

AT&T and T-Mobile have also confirmed the release and pre-order dates in a separate press release. AT&T will go a step further and ship all pre-orders on October 14th itself. The Note 4 will be retailing for $299 on AT&T’s network with a two-year contract, or for $34.42 and $41.30$ for 18 months and 24 months, respectively.

Sprint and Verizon are yet to make an announcement, but they should not be far behind. I’d expect their contract  pricing to be exactly the same as AT&T as well.

If you don’t want to enter a contract, you can purchase the unbranded, retail variant of the Note 4 for a whopping $825.99.

Samsung’s press release does not mention a word about the Galaxy Note Edge, which has already been confirmed to arrive on all the four major carriers in the United States for sometime “later this year.”
