Back in 2010, Google changed the rules for refunds within the Google Play Store to 15 minutes. Meaning, if you didn’t like an app, you only had 15 minutes after you purchased it, or a game, to figure it out before you ran out of time to request a refund. Now, that’s changing. Officially.

As originally reported by Android Police, the two-hour refund window that has been in place for a little while now within the Play Store has gone official, as the change is being showcased within the Google Play Store support site. It’s a far cry from the 24-hour window that was present some time ago, but it’s certainly better than 15 minutes.

2 hour refund policy

The new changes are now officially in place, so if you have any issues with an application or game you paid for, or simply don’t like it, you now have two hours to request the refund, and not 15 minutes.
