Good guy HTC today doubled the free storage space on Google Drive that it bundles with some of its handsets.

Previously, the company used to offer 50GB of free storage space on Drive for 2 years. Starting from today though, it has bumped this to up to 100GB for two years for its One series of devices.

According to HTC, the offer is applicable for the following devices:

  • New HTC One (M8)
  • HTC Desire 816, HTC Desire 610
  • HTC One max
  • HTC One Remix for Verizon

The offer is valid for existing as well as new One owners. If you have already redeemed the offer, HTC and Google will automatically bump the storage space on Drive by 50GB for you.

If you are yet to claim the space, open the Google Drive app on your HTC device and follow the steps mentioned there. You might not be able to reclaim the storage space though, if you have already unlocked the bootloader of your HTC device.
