HTC, via their official blog, has revealed a new set of Limited Edition devices, calling them the One M8 PHUNK. It’s a partnership with PHUNK, which will see laser-etched devices released in select markets all over the world.
The new devices are a brief limited run, and will be made with the help of PHUNK Studio, an art and design studio that’s located in Singapore. The devices, which are still One M8 models, only with a nicely detailed, laser-etched image on the back case, will be available in silver and gold, and there will be only 64 units made for this run.
The devices are meant to work as a showcase for PHUNK Studios upcoming exhibition, hence the limited run. However, HTC hasn’t said how people can actually get their hands on these devices quite yet. If buying them is involved, one could imagine that the price tag will be quite high. However, buying it probably won’t be an option, and HTC is likely to give them away in some specific way, maybe even to only celebrities of some kind. Considering how limited these devices are, none of those options would be too surprising.
