The OnePlus One is the first phone from any OEM to run on Cyanogen right out of the box. The handset packs in a plethora of customization options, which allow users to change nearly every aspect of the OS. Most of them are tucked the Settings menu, while others are hidden deep inside the OS.

One such feature on the OnePlus One is QuickBoot, similar to the Fastboot mode found on certain HTC devices. Under this mode, the phone enters a low-power mode instead of completely switching itself off, which allows it to boot back up in less than 5 seconds when the user powers back it on again.

The feature, however, is disabled by default and is hidden deep inside the phone, so chances are many novice users are completely unaware of its existence. Below is how you can enable the QuickBoot mode on your OnePlus One:

Step 1: Head over to Settings -> About Phone and enable the hidden Developer Options by tapping on ‘Build Number’ for seven times.

Step 2: Go back to Settings menu and head inside the Developer Options sub-menu.

Step 3: Tick the ‘Enable QuickBoot mode’ option to enable the feature on your OnePlus One.

Henceforth, whenever you Power Off your device, it will enter a low-power state instead of completely switching itself off. While this feature might not be of everyone’s use, it can come in handy for regular travellers and other people who need to switch off their phones for one or the other reason on a daily basis.
