LG today announced its financial numbers for the second quarter of 2014 and things are looking up for the company. It managed to sell a record 14.5 million smartphone units in the previous quarter, recording a jump of 20% on an yearly basis.
The company managed a turnover of $3.5 billion, a jump of 16% over the previous quarter and its highest in the last four years, allowing it to earn a profit of $83.4 million and bringing an end to its three consecutive quarter of losses.
LG attributes much of this success to the strong initial sales of its latest flagship handset, the G3, in Korea and its L III series of smartphones. The company also notes that all LTE
