AgileBits, developers of the extremely popular password managing service — 1Password — today announced that they would be releasing the 1Password 4 for Android app next month. The full-featured app will arrive on the Play Store on 10th June with a layout that would be optimised for tablets as well as smartphones. (kumorisushi.com)
The app and all its features would be completely free to use until the end of July, after which it will enter into a reader mode. Users can then unlock the full functionality of the app by an in-app purchase.
AgileBits already has an official 1Password app on the Play Store, but it was last updated more than six months ago and features a design that is reminiscent of the Gingerbread era. The new app though, will be have more polish and make use of the Holo guidelines from Google.
1Password is more than just a password vault and allows users to create new passwords or manage existing ones while keeping them in perfect sync across all your devices. All the data in 1Password is encrypted, which means that there is no way for anyone to get hold of all your important login credentials.
